Today is the day that move in is happening at Jacksonville University, the college I attended. It feels different not packing up my things and hopping in the van to make the three hour drive north for another year at college. But in a way I am setting out to do what I have been doing for the past 5 years. I am packing my suitcases once again (two large bags and 2 carry-on bags) to head out on my 10 month international tour. So as the students pack there bags (backpacks or suitcases) I wish them a great school year! I hope they have they BEST year yet!
If I can give any tips on packing I would say bring something that reminds you of home! For my I am bringing a pillow, comfy blanket, fuzzy slippers and my 'puppy' (stuffed animal I have had for years). Don't be embarrassed by those things that remind you of home! This works if you are trying to make your office, classroom, dorm room, locker or hotel room resemble your style and remind you of the things you love.
